The role We are seeking a highly skilled Cypress Automation Tester to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for modern web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cypress, JavaScript/TypeScript, API testing, and CI/CD integration, with a focus on delivering high-quality software through automation-first testing practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust automated test scripts using Cypress.
• Create and execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
• Automate API validation and backend service testing.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams for resolution.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and automation documentation.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, defect triage, and retrospectives.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks, coding standards, and testing best practices.
• Support release validation and production readiness activities.

Key Skills/Knowledge Strong hands-on experience with Cypress Automation Framework Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript Experience in UI and End-to-End (E2E) testing API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools Test automation framework design and maintenance Experience with Git/GitHub and version control practices Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bamboo, or Azure DevOps Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies Familiarity with SQL and database validation

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience

• Experience with Playwright, Selenium, or Jest
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Experience in BFSI, Wealth Management, or Capital Markets domains
• Performance and accessibility testing knowledge
