Role Description As a QA Engineer at Ella Tech Addis, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of web and mobile applications through systematic testing and validation. On a day-to-day basis, you will design and execute test plans and test cases, perform manual testing across different environments, document defects, and track issues through resolution in collaboration with developers and product owners. You will participate in requirements reviews, provide feedback on usability and edge cases, and help refine quality standards and processes for the team. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, requiring close cooperation with cross-functional colleagues and active involvement in sprint activities. Qualifications

Strong foundation in Quality Assurance practices, including defining quality criteria and collaborating with engineering teams on improvements. Hands-on experience with Test Execution and Manual Testing, following structured test plans and reporting results clearly. Ability to design, document, and maintain Test Cases that cover functional, regression, and edge scenarios. Practical knowledge of Software Testing concepts, methodologies, and lifecycle, including defect tracking and root-cause analysis. Familiarity with issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira or similar) and basic understanding of agile development workflows. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a methodical approach to validating features. Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience testing web or mobile applications; exposure to test automation tools and scripting is an advantage.
