Role The project is to work on our Internal Development Platform (IDP). The project is ongoing development and support for common tools, services, and infrastructure to support our broader MiTek offerings. The project includes software package development, CI/CD pipeline development, and development/enhancement of core microservices such as Authentication. It's a varied project depending on the needs of the broader business. The level of reuse from other teams varies from pulling the code packages to use in their project, all the way through to fully developing their project in the platform and making use of the full set of CI/CD pipelines, processes, and Azure resources.

An Internal Developer Platform (IDP) Testing Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of the internal tools and workflows that make up an IDP. This role involves designing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting bugs, and verifying that the IDP provides a seamless, self-service experience for development teams by automating common tasks and abstracting away infrastructure complexity.

Responsibilities

Test Case Development: Design and maintain test cases for all components of the IDP, including the developer portal, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and observability tools.

Quality Assurance: Execute both manual and automated tests to identify defects, security vulnerabilities, and performance issues.

Security Testing: Validate that the platform adheres to security best practices and that role-based access controls are correctly implemented.

Performance Testing: Assess the scalability and efficiency of the platform under various load conditions.

Feedback & Iteration: Collaborate with platform engineers to provide actionable feedback and contribute to continuous platform improvement.

Documentation: Record test results, defects, and issues discovered during testing.

Your Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. 5 + years of experience with automation testing frameworks (Robot Framework or Selenium) Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes. Programming experience in any language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, C#., NET) English proficiency at B2 CEFR level or above (or equivalent) is required.
