Job Description As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer in our camera systems group, you will play a role in developing, and optimizing automated test solutions for intelligent embedded camera systems and user interfaces and evaluating Computer Vision and AI algorithms . You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of test automation development, from conceptualization to deployment, while also contributing to backend API test design and implementation. This position requires a deep understanding of modern UI frameworks, strong full-stack test automation principles, and experience with camera technologies or similar data-intensive applications. Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Automation Engineer who can lead our Vietnam embedded automation efforts. The ideal candidate is passionate about contributing to successful deployments of commercial systems for the benefit of our customers. The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will be responsible for hands-on participation in the quality assurance activities for our Embedded AI platform that is the core intelligence of our security surveillance cameras, appliances, and cloud services. This engineer will help support our releases, ensure smooth and timely deployment of new features and bug fixes, and work with a team of quality engineers to maintain the test automation framework and overall product quality. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with a team of Quality assurance engineers and Quality technicians. Ensure that the Motorola Solutions Embedded AI group produces the highest quality, smartest, easiest to use products in the surveillance industry. Contribute to a comprehensive quality assurance strategy to ensure the reliability and performance of our edge-based video surveillance cameras and cloud-based services. Execute quality assurance testing strategies for OTA firmware releases for cameras and appliances Work with the quality team to develop an exhaustive test approach, including pass fail metrics, real and synthetic video datasets, and automation as part of a comprehensive test suite for each new feature. Collaborate with product management, embedded software developers, algorithm developers, data scientists, and user interface engineers to define system requirements and use-cases for each new analytics feature. Coordinate with software development teams to define release scope, objectives, and timelines. Develop and maintain quality metrics, reports, and documentation to track and communicate product quality improvements. Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide recommendations for process improvements. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to quality assurance and AI-based video surveillance systems. Support our cross-team software escalation process, ensuring timely resolution of critical quality issues and effective communication with stakeholders. Identify and close testing holes in current test processes and automation Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing. Conduct off-site outdoor field testing of analytics features on camera hardware #LI-MM8 #LI-onsite Basic Requirements Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Physics, or equivalent experience from a technical engineering discipline. 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance automation engineering. Expertise in developing and authoring Python, C++, and Javascript automation software to test individual software components, web-enabled embedded hardware, IoT, and/or Robotics. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization. Experience with AI, machine learning, and computer vision technologies, and their application in quality assurance. Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, think critically, and drive timely resolution of critical quality issues.
