What you will be doing

• Develops and executes test strategies and detailed test plans based on business requirements, specifications, and stakeholder input, covering functional, regression, and UAT scenarios.
• Maintains test cases to ensure they reflect the current system behavior and to reduce the need to clarify with the development team or business partners.
• Work closely with development and product teams throughout the project lifecycle to define acceptance criteria and ensure full test coverage.
• Develop, evaluate, and maintain standardized quality processes, including test plans, documentation, metrics, best practices, and reporting to ensure system quality.
• Supports UAT by providing test coverage and results, facilitating demos of updates, and representing the business during UAT scenarios and sign-off.
• Supports test automation efforts to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Analyzes quality metrics to identify trends and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams, contributing to cross-department meetings.
• Provides mentorship and onboarding support to QA team members and participates in cross-functional meetings with IT and business stakeholders.
• Close test activities and work items in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you already have

Education, Experience, and Licensing

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field required; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of Quality Analyst experience, preferably in software development.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the P&C insurance industry.
• Certification in ISTQB or equivalent industry certifications required.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies

• Solid understanding of QA processes and software testing lifecycle.
• Ability to write, execute, and maintain test cases, log, and track defects.
• Strong knowledge of P&C insurance lifecycle, underwriting principles, and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with business systems and IT applications in the P&C domain.
• Demonstrated independence and collaboration to ensure thorough testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain technical security concepts to non-technical users.
• Proficient in MSO/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
