  • Exposure to React or Angular; interest in DevOps/build systems/productivity tooling

Full Description

Our client is hiring a Software Engineer in Test II to join their Developer Experience team, supporting the development and maintenance of automated testing tools used across the quality engineering organization. This is a full-time, hybrid position focused on implementing and improving automated tests for cloud-based applications, with exposure to AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and modern web technologies.

This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who enjoys coding, learning test automation best practices, and contributing to shared testing frameworks. You’ll work alongside experienced SDETs, software engineers, and DevOps partners to help ensure application quality across data-intensive, production systems that support real-world analytics and modeling.

Required Skills & Experience

1+ year of professional experience in software testing, quality engineering, or a related engineering role after earning a Computer Science (or similar) degree Experience writing automated tests for web applications, APIs, or backend services Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms Working knowledge of Python, C#, or a similar programming language Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing concepts Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new tools and technologies

Desired Skills & Experience

Exposure to test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Mocha, Jasmine, or similar Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices-based architectures Introductory experience with containerization tools like Docker Exposure to modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular Interest in DevOps, build systems, or developer productivity tooling

Create and maintain automated test cases for cloud-hosted applications Execute and monitor automated tests as part of CI/CD pipelines Partner with engineers to identify gaps in test coverage and improve quality Assist in maintaining test environments and supporting testing infrastructure Contribute to improving automation tools, processes, and documentation
