The Hardware Test Engineering (HWTE) team is the critical link ensuring Apple's products meet the highest standards of quality and performance before reaching our customers. We design, develop, and deploy the sophisticated test solutions used in our factories worldwide. As guardians of quality at scale, we orchestrate complex and vital work that has a direct impact on the final product. In this role, you will orchestrate the development and deployment of test stations, from concept to mass production. You will work at the intersection of hardware, software, and control systems, providing leadership and creative problem-solving to ensure seamless execution. DESCRIPTION
As an Engineering Program Manager on the Hardware Test Engineering team, you will be responsible for driving the development and deployment of test fixtures and stations. You will manage projects from initial concept through to mass production, working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment to deliver outstanding results.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience managing technical hardware projects. Experience leading complex, cross-functional, multi-company project-based initiatives from start to finish. Work independently to manage projects, resolve tactical issues, and ensure engineering teams meet deliverables, while providing clear status updates and calling out key issues effectively.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional hardware development programs. A leader who defines program strategy and creates clarity from ambiguity. You are seen as a "go-to" person for your programs. Not only implement, but also influence, technical decisions and program direction, often mentoring junior engineers or PMs. Experience driving trade-off discussions and are comfortable presenting and negotiating with senior management and key partners.
