You can expect your days to be pretty varied at Teleport. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to

• Participate and contribute in a team practicing agile scrum
• Execute test driven development in projects assigned to you
• Practice source code management strategies that allow for your code to be analysed, reviewed and pushed to the pipeline efficiently
• Keep security, performance and scalability as principles in your day to decisions and contributions
• Share and document knowledge as part of your workflow
• Work with multiple teams to deliver complex and cutting-edge software solutions for a growing business
• Evangelize and drive stellar software engineering practices across the entire engineering team
• Experiment and continuously explore new and emerging technologies and bring that perspective on how it can help the team
• Be an awesome team member of the Teleport Product & Technology team

Qualifications and Competencies

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, automation, or development roles (SDET/QA Automation Engineer preferred)
• Strong coding skills in Java (required), with experience in Spring Boot frameworks

Proficiency in automation tools: Karate, Selenium, RestAssured, Appium, or similar.

Expertise in databases: MongoDB (required), PostgreSQL (required); familiarity with GraphDB or other NoSQL is advantageous Fast development of test cases using AI based IDEs like Claude Code, Cursor, Code Assist etc Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle) and integrating tests into pipelines Solid understanding of Git (branching, merging, code reviews) Experience testing microservices architecture and building/validating RESTful APIs Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) and testing in cloud environments

Bonus: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift for containerized testing Familiarity with application performance monitoring, logging, and observability tools (ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Google Cloud Logging) Proven experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, Locust) Good understanding of Supply Chain, Logistics domain.
