Role & seniority: Technical Program Manager (PM) leading CPU IP post-silicon validation and integration for Qualcomm’s Oryon CPU team (pre/post-silicon scope; cross-functional leadership).
Stack/tools: CPU/IP development and validation; IP-SoC/Software relationship management; silicon bring-up methodologies; cross-functional program management; data-driven scheduling; familiarity with VLSI development cycle, emulation/ FPGA prototyping or virtual platforms a plus.
Plan, drive, and deliver post-silicon validation and integration of CPU IP across Qualcomm silicon roadmap.
Lead cross-functional teams (software, product/test, customer engineering) to debug issues pre- and post-silicon; mitigate risks and report milestones to senior management.
Organize interdepartmental meetings, establish schedules/milestones, and develop processes to improve team productivity and ensure on-time delivery.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; 4+ years of Program Management or related experience.
Experience in post-silicon bring-up, silicon validation, and working with cross-functional teams; knowledge of silicon development methodologies and IP/CPU designBackground.

The successful candidate will own technical program management for the Oryon CPU Engineering team’s development and validation of CPU IP in key Qualcomm SoCs. This is the team behind the Snapdragon X Series and Snapdragon 8 Elite / Gen 5. Work alongside the smartest minds in the industry to deliver best-in-class, efficient, high-performance CPUs.
Responsibilities
Plan, drive, and deliver CPU post-silicon validation and integration into key silicon products across Qualcomm’s roadmap.
Drive cross-functional teams to debug technical issues on various platforms, both pre-silicon and post-silicon. Support software, product/test engineering, and customer engineering teams.
Determine risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate information to internal and external key stakeholders. Must be able to proactively drive and solve problems to solutions.
Roll up and report regularly to senior management-executives on key validation milestones, metrics, risks, and mitigation plans.
Responsible for IP-SoC/SW relationship & partnership program management.
Be an advocate for the program in cross-functional and stakeholder meetings.
Troubleshoot program issues and help to develop alternative program tasks, schedules, milestones, resource plans, processes etc. to resolve program issues and conflicts.
Develop processes to increase the productivity and efficiency of the team.
Manage teams through design, development, validation, test, manufacturing, deployment and sustaining activities for hardware products.
Lead the creation and maintenance of credible and data-driven schedules and project milestones.
Organize and lead interdepartmental meetings to set project milestones/schedules, plans of records, define project tasks, establish program policies and processes.
Preferred qualifications
MS or PhD degree in Engineering
Experience in post-silicon bring-up and debug, working with cross-functional teams like software and product/test engineering. Experience with silicon development methodologies, leading tape-outs and silicon validation. Experience as an engineer in chip development and integration into hardware or software systems.
A successful candidate requires a strong IP core (preferably CPU) design & debug background including Project Management of IP team working on multiple programs.
Technical domain expertise in all aspects of VLSI development cycle and IP delivery process, including silicon bring-up. Knowledge of emulation / FPGA prototyping / virtual platforms a plus.
You will help coordinate and support methodology deployment and play a key role in planning future IP validation and development initiatives.
Ability to drive teams towards long-term challenging goals and intermediate milestones, as well as navigating teams through short-term, highly visible priorities.
Track record of successful planning and execution within resource and schedule constraints.
Knowledgeable on program management tools and processes to increase productivity across engineering teams.
Proven skills: communication, negotiation, motivation, dealing and resolving difficult and complex situations, thinking on the fly, and drive to meet the business need
Physical Requirements
Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.
Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.
Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
4+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
