Must-have skills

  • Bachelor-level degree in Electronic, Automation, or Electrical Engineering

  • ≥2 years’ maritime industry experience in a related role

  • Fluency with industrial communication protocols (MODBUS, HART, Profibus, Profinet)

  • Experience with SCADA and PLCs; strong electronics design, programming, and repair skills

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills in English

  • Ability to work independently or in teams; self-discipline to work away from home or onboard

  • Advanced computer skills; ability to travel domestically and internationally

  • Nice-to-haves: Experience in onboarding/technical training document preparation; ability to work unattended from home or on vessels

  • Location & work type: Not specified; travel-domestic and international prerequisites; full-time field role requiring on-site work ashore and onboard ships, with potential remote work aspects

Full Description

Inbleck is a new venture with strong fundamentals in the field of Maritime Digital Transformation. Inbleck is seeking to recruit a Marine Automation Service Engineer. The successful candidate must have an Electrical / Electronic / Automation Engineer’s degree or equivalent and must be willing to travel abroad.

Job Role

  • As a marine automation service engineer, you’ll be involved with the development, design, installation, repair, calibration,maintenance in projects involving IT and Marine Automation Systems both ashore and on vessels to electrical and electronic automation of ships.
  • The digitilization of the maritime sector ensures a constant development and growth of the marine automation market and a long career for the engineers participating in it.
  • You are passionate of the sea, travel to new places and growing in an exciting field through continuous training and development.

Responsibilities

  • Duties include the installation, commissioning, after sales support of automation systems provided by our company.
  • Design, manufacture, repair, install, commission marine automation systems

Requirements

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor of Electronic engineering / Automation engineering and Electrician with at least 2 years of experience in a similar position in the maritime industry
  • Fluency in Industrial Communication Protocols (MODBUS, HART, Profibus, Profinet)
  • Experience working on SCADA and PLCs
  • Strong knowledge of design, programming , manufacture and repair of electronic systems
  • Strong organizational, programming and tracking skills with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to work alone without diorect supervision or in teams.
  • Self-discipline to work unattended from home or onboard.
  • Excellent oral / written communication in English.
  • Ability to travel - domestic and international are prerequisites
  • Advanced computer skills
