Stack/tools: DOORS, Jira, MATLAB; Agile methodologies; object-oriented programming; scripting languages; test fixture/equipment design; hardware/software test setup; requirements traceability; test planning and reporting
Plan technical approaches, resources, schedules, budgets, and test environments for new systems and devices
Develop test/diagnostic programs, design test fixtures, and craft specifications and procedures across the engineering lifecycle
Establish test strategies/plans, execute tests, document issues, analyze results, and present findings to customers/internal teams
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related STEM field; 5+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s + 3 years)
Experience with automated/manual/regression/software testing
Proficiency with DOORS, Jira, MATLAB; Agile experience; OO programming and scripting
Experience configuring hardware/software under test and documenting test outcomes
Ability to lead failure investigations and formal systems acceptance testing

Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities For This Position
As the Advanced Test Enginee r in our Undersea Mission Solutions business area, you’ll participate in the planning of technical approaches, resources, schedules, budgets and equipment required for the testing and evaluating of new systems, products and special devices. Utilizing your expert knowledge and understanding of test engineering concepts and principles, you’ll prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures throughout the engineering development lifecycle.
