Must-have skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in a scientific/engineering discipline

  • Basic knowledge of Verification & Validation processes; testing experience

  • Systems Engineering background; fluent English (written and spoken, minimum B2)

Nice-to-haves

  • IBM DOORS, JIRA, Teamcenter; Agile familiarity

  • Build/CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git); aviation ground training systems knowledge; German language

  • Location & work type: Hybrid (on-site/remote) in alignment with project needs; willingness to travel for short business trips; permanent contract aligned with experience

Full Description

TXT e-Swiss SA, part of the TXT Group, is looking for a System / Test Engineer to join its Aerospace Training & Simulation division.

The selected candidate will work within an international team at one of TXT’s major customers in the avionics domain, contributing to complex, safety-critical systems in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to monitor project objectives and technical milestones. Define and derive system requirements, ensuring full traceability across the system lifecycle. Apply the V-Model methodology throughout development, verification, and validation phases. Perform system, integration, and acceptance testing activities. Work closely with Software and Hardware engineers to ensure optimal system implementation. Execute Verification & Validation (V&V) activities at both national and international level. Provide technical support to Project Managers during project execution. Support the Customer Support Manager during customer technical support phases. Deliver system training to end users when required.

Requirements Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.

Mandatory Technical Skills

Basic knowledge of Verification & Validation processes. Experience in testing activities. Background in Systems Engineering. Fluent English, written and spoken (minimum B2 level).

Nice-to-Have Skills

Knowledge of IBM DOORS. Experience with JIRA. Familiarity with Teamcenter. Understanding of Agile methodologies. Knowledge of build and CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Git). Familiarity with aviation ground training systems. Knowledge of the German language.

Soft Skills

Ability to work independently and manage technical activities autonomously. Strong capability to handle complex customer-facing situations. Comfortable working in dynamic and international environments. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver solutions within tight timelines. High sense of responsibility, attention to quality, and customer-oriented mindset.

Travel Requirements

Willingness to undertake short business trips abroad, when required.
