About The Role
Myticas Consulting is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Lead to support a major enterprise client on-site in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this high-visibility contract role, you will own test strategy, planning, and coordination for complex, multi-team software initiatives.
You will work closely with product teams, developers, analysts, and automation specialists to ensure test deliverables meet quality standards and program timelines. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will drive cross-team test planning and execution, manage defect lifecycles, and provide clear quality metrics and reporting to stakeholders. The environment leverages tools such as Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, ServiceNow, SAP, and modern web technologies.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-directed QA leader who enjoys commanding a room, coordinating globally distributed teams, and shaping best practices for large, business-critical programs.
Responsibilities
Own and drive test strategy, test plans, timelines, and overall test coordination across multiple project teams Coordinate creation of test scenarios, test cases, and test data, ensuring readiness for execution Lead and facilitate day-to-day test execution across teams, tracking progress and removing blockers
Manage the full defect lifecycle: logging, triage, assignment, follow-up, and re-testing to confirm fixes Produce test reports and dashboards that provide clear quality metrics, analysis, and status to stakeholders Align team-level testing with overall program testing requirements and milestones Partner with automation specialists by providing manual test scripts, test data, and inputs for automated coverage Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve testing standards, practices, and processes
Requirements
Must be able to work on-site in Grand Rapids, Michigan, US, within a reasonable commuting distance At least 5 years of software quality assurance experience, including a minimum of 3 years leading software testing projects Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a closely related field Demonstrated experience owning test strategy, test planning, and cross-team test coordination for complex software projects in an Agile/SCRUM environment, applying QA best practices Hands-on experience testing web and/or SAP applications using modern test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps or similar Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
