Role & seniority: Test Rig Engineer, intermediate (1–5 years’ relevant experience); within automotive validation and test rig development.

🎯 Assignments
We are looking for a Test Rig Engineer to support one of our major clients in the automotive industry.
In this role, you will be at the heart of the validation process, operating complex test benches and developing the strategies behind them. You’ll combine mechanics, dynamics, HV electricity, electronics, communication protocols, and controls to ensure that each test is meaningful, reliable, and repeatable.
👤 The profile Background Master’s degree in Automotive, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent through experience.
Must Have 1–5 years of experience in testing, test rig operation, test bench development, or industrial automation. Strong understanding of mechanics, dynamics, electricity (including HV fundamentals), electronics, communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay…), and control systems. Hands-on experience with test benches, instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition systems. Basic to intermediate programming skills (Python, C/C++, Matlab, LabView). Analytical mindset, structured approach, and strong problem-solving abilities. A proactive personality with the ability to drive ideas, propose strategies, and challenge the status quo when needed. Fluent in English, both oral and written. Nice to Have Experience with drivetrain/transmission systems or hybrid/electric powertrain components. Knowledge of validation tools such as CANape, INCA, LabView, Vector tools. Exposure to HIL/KIL/GHIL environments or automation frameworks. Experience working in structured or Agile engineering projects. Willingness to relocate and travel within Europe for test facilities.
