Role & seniority: Senior Electrical Test Engineer (onsite) at Helion, Everett, WA; focus on test systems for power electronics, PCBA, and high-voltage assemblies.
Stack/tools: Automated/semi-automated test systems; fixture design; instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, Eloads, signal generators, DAQ); Python and PLC-based automation; test procedures, calibration standards, test limits; data acquisition; wiring harnesses and test racks.
Develop, optimize, and maintain automated test systems for PCBA and high-voltage assemblies; ensure robustness, repeatability, and safety for technicians.
Write and maintain test procedures, calibration standards, and test limits in collaboration with design and production leadership.
Analyze test data to produce FPY and performance reports, proposing threshold adjustments with design teams to balance yield and quality; support hands-on setup and debugging; drive system-wide improvements.
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
5+ years building/supporting electrical/electronic test systems in R&D or production.
Proficient with benchtop instruments (oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, Eloads, signal generators, DAQ).
Experience developing automated tests with Python or PLC-based systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring diagrams; hands-on in wiring/test racks; strong electrical safet
