Role & seniority: Test Technician III (mid-level).
Stack/tools: RF/Microwave test equipment (network analyzers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters), waveguides and coaxial components, soldering (J-STD-001 IPC-A-610), blueprints, basic mechanical assemblies; ability to set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot RF circuits and components.
Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot RF circuits, components, and mechanical assemblies using appropriate test equipment.
Test and tune RF filters (low pass, band pass, waveguide diplexers) in X and Ku bands; work with waveguides, circulators, switches, LNA, etc.
Perform manual assembly as needed (epoxies, loading, tuning elements) and potentially rework assemblies/systems from testing.
High School diploma or equivalent; 2–3 years related RF/Microwave experience.
Knowledge of RF/microwave measurement techniques and passive circuit fundamentals; ability to read blueprints.
Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
J-STD-001 soldering or IPC-A-610 inspection certification.
Experience calibrating/operating network analyzers and RF/microwave test equipment; familiarity with power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers.

Overview
The Test Technician III performs the set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. The Test Technician determines and may develop test specifications, methods, and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams. This position may complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Testing and tuning of low pass, band pass and waveguide diplexer filters in X and Ku bands. Waveguide and coaxial components including waveguide transitions, couplers, pressure windows, circulators, switches, and low noise amplifiers. Some manual assembly operations are required as part of the test function to include using various conductive and non-conductive epoxies to install loads, tuning element’s, and end caps. Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of RF circuits, RF components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies using network analyzers and other electrical and mechanical measuring devices and equipment.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE High School diploma (or equivalent) 2-3 years of related experience. Experience with RF/Microwave operation/measurement techniques Understanding of passive circuit fundamentals and microwave terminology Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Security Clearance
Pay Range: $25.33 - $31.04 plus 10% shift differential hourly. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
