Axiom is seeking an ASOS Software Tester to join our team in providing technical support services to the Sterling Field Support Center (SFSC). The ideal candidate will support testing, evaluation, and analysis activities for meteorological observing systems and contribute to the development of high‑quality technical documentation and reports.
Responsibilities
Prepare test plans, test reports, supporting documentation, and training materials. Provide status briefings to government clients on testing progress and results. Implement established processes and procedures to conduct tests and produce final reports. Conduct test and evaluation activities for meteorological observing systems. Analyze meteorological data to assess data validity, quality, and performance. Support field activities, equipment setup, and data collection as needed. Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and government stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Earth Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline. Experience setting up and executing scientific tests or experiments. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and validate scientific data. Proficiency in technical writing and documentation. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with meteorological observing systems or atmospheric instrumentation. Familiarity with test and evaluation methodologies. Experience working with federal agencies or in a government support environment. Knowledge of data analysis tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB, R).
