Answer: None; we only find the problems, we don't fix them. Our client provides enterprise-class managed data center services. They have around 70 datacenters servicing 29 different markets, and we can't disclose their clients – but think about any significant industry player from hyperscalers, banks, healthcare and social media platforms, and they're likely in their CRM. They seek a Lead QA Engineer to spearhead their quality assurance initiatives. You'll oversee nine QAs working across multiple Scrum teams while collaborating closely with four automation engineers. As a hands-on technical leader, you'll be an active contributor within a Scrum team while guiding quality assurance strategy across the organization. This position focuses on delivering robust testing solutions for complex software applications using modern automation frameworks and AI-enhanced testing tools. The ideal candidate will establish and maintain comprehensive test automation frameworks, lead QA professionals in an Agile environment, and drive the adoption of cutting-edge testing practices including AI-assisted automation.

Core Functions

  • Architect and implement scalable test automation solutions using modern technologies, particularly Playwright (primary focus) and Selenium with C#
  • Oversee and support nine QAs across multiple Scrum teams
  • Collaborate with four automation engineers to align testing strategies and frameworks
  • Drive quality assurance best practices through leadership and mentorship
  • Automate test cases within sprints using modern tools including Claude AI and Playwright
  • Orchestrate end-to-end testing strategies, including functional, regression, and performance testing

  • Foster collaboration between development, product, and QA teams to ensure optimal test coverage
  • Analyze test results, document issues, and coordinate resolution efforts

Ideal Profile

  • Experienced QA professional with 6-8+ years of automation expertise, particularly in C# and Selenium environments
  • Strong expertise in Playwright
  • Proven track record of building and scaling test automation frameworks
  • Experience with AI tools for testing (e.g., Claude AI, ChatGPT) is a strong plus
  • Strong background in CI/CD implementation, utilizing tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, TeamCity, or GitLab CI
  • Expertise in database testing and SQL
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in guiding QA team members
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with a focus on complex automation challenges
