Role & seniority: Principal-level SDET (Senior/Staff quality engineering leadership) responsible for elevating quality across the SDLC.
Stack/tools: Java, Spring Boot, microservices; AWS; RabbitMQ; MongoDB; Cypress (current), Selenium, Playwright; CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab); Linux; AWS-based distributed systems.
Own test architecture and automation strategy for backend and frontend; design/build/maintain scalable automated test frameworks.
Lead end-to-end, API, integration, and UI automation; improve CI/CD test stability and performance; debug flaky tests.
Mentor engineers; establish coding standards and review practices for test code; influence release readiness and quality risk with product/engineering leaders.
5+ years in Quality Engineering / Test Automation; senior/staff-level experience in a product-driven org.
Deep expertise with Selenium, Playwright, and/or Cypress; strong Java for production-quality test code.
Experience testing microservices and distributed systems; CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.); strong Linux fundamentals.
Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functionally.
Contract testing (Pact or similar); performance testing; cloud-native testing in AWS; observability-driven testing (logs/metrics/traces).
Prior experience building QA organizations from messy to mature.
