Role & seniority: Senior Performance QA Engineer, full-time in Ukraine (remote or office per preference)
Stack/tools: Gatling/Gatling Cloud (Scala-based scripting), HTTP/REST/WebSockets, microservices (Kubernetes, Docker, Istio), CI/CD (GitLab, GitHub Actions), JVM metrics/APM (Datadog, New Relic), observability (Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB); cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Design, implement, and execute performance test plans and scenarios; develop custom Gatling scripts
Analyze performance, identify bottlenecks, and define SLAs, benchmarks, and KPIs; integrate tests into CI/CD
Collaborate with dev/SRE/QA, monitor metrics, participate in incident analysis, and drive performance improvements
2+ years hands-on Gatling or Gatling Cloud experience
Strong HTTP/REST/WebSockets knowledge; microservices testing experience
Scala proficiency or willingness to learn for Gatling scripting
CI/CD workflow experience; JVM metrics/logs/APM familiarity
Cloud platform experience (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Experience with Grafana/Prometheus/InfluxDB or similar observability stacks
Knowledge of load patterns, ramp-up strategies, test environments
Strong problem-solving and communication skills; cross-team collaboration
