Role & seniority: Supplier Quality Engineer III (engineering leadership level; 5–7 years of QA/supplier quality experience)

Lead supplier risk assessments and implement mitigation for quality issues

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
5–7 years in supplier quality, preferably in electrical or related industry
Knowledge of supplier quality systems (APQP, PPAP, Six Sigma); statistical analysis proficiency
Experience with large-scale supplier quality programs; strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making
Project management, organizational skills, and ability to multitask; excellent communication and stakeholder liaison

Master’s degree in Engineering

The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States is $103,510 - $137,121.60. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria. Join Our Team as a Supplier Quality Engineer III! The Supplier Quality Engineer III takes ownership of quality initiatives for supplier-related projects, managing activities that improve supplier performance and align with organizational objectives. This role bridges internal teams and suppliers to drive effective quality improvements.
Supplier Risk Management: Lead risk assessments of supplier processes and implement strategies to mitigate potential quality issues.
Cross-functional collaboration: Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align supplier quality objectives with project requirements.
Performance Improvement Initiatives: Develop and execute supplier improvement programs based on data-driven insights.
Supplier Qualification Oversight: Manage the PPAP process for new and existing suppliers, ensuring compliance with specifications.
Quality Support & Collaboration: Provide quality support for operations, working closely with Global Sourcing to address quality-related issues and drive continuous improvements. Support the resolution of complex quality issues, utilizing advanced problem-solving tools to identify root causes and implement effective preventative measures.
Metrics & Feedback Utilization: Utilize quality feedback and metrics to identify opportunities for design and process improvements, driving data-driven decision-making across the company.
Team Support: Support other quality engineers in their work, setting standards and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the quality engineering team.
Industry Trends & Innovation: Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating relevant advancements into the company’s approach to quality engineering.
Compliance: Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.
