Role & seniority: Test Engineer (onsite-facing, learning on client projects; entry to mid-level with development path)
Stack/tools: Automation from scratch (Web Services/API), Performance & Accessibility testing; DevOps CI/CD; Selenium; BDD/Cucumber; Nightwatch JS; Java/JavaScript/Python; API testing (Rest Assured, Postman); Performance testing (JMeter); AWS (nice-to-have)
Design, build, and maintain automation, performance, and accessibility test frameworks; manage exploratory and automation activities
Ensure defects are tracked, documented, and resolved; own release processes to deliver quality products
Collaborate with developers, junior testers, and cross-functional teams to improve test coverage and reduce bottlenecks; update regression suites
Strong knowledge of Selenium and at least one other test framework (BDD/Cucumber/Nightwatch JS)
Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or Python; scripting and reading skills
API testing experience (Postman, Rest Assured); basic performance testing (JMeter or equivalent)
Excellent communication; experience in Agile environments
Working knowledge of AWS; security testing experience
Security clearance readiness (UK SC) and ability to work in UK without visa sponsorship; lived in the UK for 5+ years

This role is remote for the foreseeable future with onsite client working where required and occasional travel to head office in London for workshops/meetings
Design and build Automation from scratch, Web Services/API , Performance & Accessibility test frameworks with DevOps CI/CD Propose solutions to clients, when needed Manage, plan and perform exploratory and automation activities throughout the project Ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in a defect tracking system Own and manage the release process to deliver the product effectively Work closely with developers, Junior test engineers and cross functional scrum team members to increase the test coverage and reduce the test bottlenecks Update and maintain regression suites as the products evolve Work collaboratively and effectively in a DevOps way of working environment
Requirements
