About This Role

A Test Flight Electrician performs all tasks associated with electrical/electronic system testing and maintenance as assigned by management.
Responsibilities
Job duties include but are not limited to
- Electrical/Electronic system test conduct
- Electrical/Electronic system troubleshooting & resolution
- Conduct maintenance on electrical/electronic systems
- Electrical/Electronic support for craft operations – on ramp & underway
- Cable fabrication, electrical panel assembly, wire stripping, electrical schematics layouts, hook-ups, and soldering
- Must be able to work from Engineering drawings, sketches, blueprints, schematics and follow written/verbal instructions.
- Perform job duties with the use of basic hand tools such as screw drivers, pliers, wire cutters, drill motors, sand and grinding tools, etc.
- Maintain records, forms, and logs as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Education
High school diploma or GED certificate.
Position Requirements
Formal craft training and three (3) plus years of related experience, preferably in marine vessel testing. Ability to read blueprints, shop orders, sketches, and drawings is necessary to the completion of tasks or work. Must be able to perform basic (simple) shop mathematics. Must be willing to work rotating/second shift. Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours as needed to accomplish the task or work with little or no prior notification.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMAND REQUIREMENTS

Postural: Must have the ability to move extremities and spine throughout a sufficient range of motion that will permit the employee to work in a variety of postures involving a range from floor to overhead level. Flexing and twisting of the trunk and other awkward postures are occasionally required.
Dexterity: Must have a good dexterity and frequently use one and two hands throughout the work period for tasks involving fingering, gripping and manipulation.
Cardiorespiratory Demand: Must have sufficient cardiorespiratory fitness to be able to perform medium work involving heavy lifting. Must be able to safely tolerate medium demands on the cardiorespiratory system in various temperature ranges and humidity.
General Physical Activities: Include standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body twisting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, speaking clearly, seeing distant/reading, reaching, hearing, depth perception, color vision, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs and balancing.
Physical Demand Level - Medium: Must be able to perform medium physical labor as classified by the United States Department of Labor. Physical demands typically involve lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling not to exceed 60 lbs.
