Job Description
Location: Pune.
Experience: 3 - 6 Years.
Designation: Associate Consultant - Testing.
Skills: Manual Testing, JIRA, ALM, Microsoft TFS, SharePoint, Confluence, Agile & Waterfall.
Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
You ensure that software manual testing activities are carried out as documented in the test plan at module level. You review test artefacts and provide specific and constructive feedback to test engineers. You build a team comprising of 2-3 test engineers to efficiently handle software functional testing activities at module level. You independently prepare test scenarios and test cases for complex modules. You thoroughly understand the role of test engineers in both waterfall and agile models and can mentor test engineers. You lead software testing activities like test preparation, test execution and reporting at module level. You coordinate with Test Lead on day to day basis to ensure that testing activities are on track.
Test Planning & Design
Analyse user stories, functional specifications, and technical requirements to create comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases. Collaborate with Product Owners / Business Analyst / Developers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria, ensuring testability from the outset.
Test Execution & Reporting
Execute manual tests (including functional, integration, regression and UAT) across multiple platforms (e.g., Hardware validation).
Signs Of Success
You deliver all the software testing deliverables as agreed in the test plan by taking complete ownership at module level. You successfully tackle issues faced by the testing team with assistance from a Test Lead. You pro-actively seek advice from the Test Leadership to improve testing methodology or testing process. You identify defects early in the software development lifecycle and report them in a timely manner avoiding further consequences. You follow through on all the software testing artefacts and deliverables as defined in the Test Plan.
Skills We Cant Do Without
You have graduated from a reputed academic institution. You have 3-7 years hands on experience in Manual Testing. You have profound experience in functional testing of software products/ projects in both waterfall and agile development methodologies. You possess thorough knowledge of software testing and test content management tools like JIRA, ALM, Microsoft TFS, SharePoint, Confluence etc. You are an effective team player. You have good communication skills. You are keen about following the processes and improving them to achieve more effective testing.
Skills Wed Like
You have experience in Kiosk testing / external devices testing. User experience by simulating real user interactions on web/mobile apps, and performing regression/UAT testing, and reports to guarantee the product meets requirements before release. You demonstrate that you can make effective use of the test management tools and you are efficient in using the gadgets/ widgets and query tools for preparing effective dashboards. You have good understanding in maintaining requirements traceability matrix to ensure adequate coverage of the software features and in reporting test preparation, test execution and defect tracking statistics with high precision. You take complete ownership of all the testing activities assigned to you at product/ project module level. ISTQB Foundation Level certification in Software Testing.
