Position: Automation Engineer (JS Stack)
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Focus: Hands-on framework development, script execution, and pipeline integration.
Role Summary
We are seeking a high-velocity Automation Engineer to design and maintain robust, scalable automation suites. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of modern web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, focusing on end-to-end testing, API validation, and seamless CI/CD integration.
Key Responsibilities
Framework Development: Build and extend modular automation frameworks using Playwright and WebdriverIO.
Test Scripting: Author clean, maintainable, and efficient test scripts for complex UI workflows and RESTful APIs.
Execution & Maintenance: Execute automated suites across multiple environments and browsers; proactively debug and fix flaky tests.
CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab) to enable "Shift-Left" testing.
Collaboration: Work closely with Developers and Product Owners in an Agile/Scrum environment to identify automation candidates during the design phase.
Technical Requirements
Languages: Expert proficiency in JavaScript or JavaScript.
Tools: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright and WebdriverIO.
Architecture: Strong understanding of Page Object Model (POM) and BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin).
API Testing: Experience with Axios, Supertest, or Playwright s native Request API.
DevOps: Familiarity with Docker and cloud-based execution (BrowserStack, LambdaTest).
