Role & seniority: Solution Validation Services engineer (SVS) within Capgemini Engineering, focused on Cisco CX validation labs; mid-level to senior experience anticipated (3–8 years in related networking roles).
Stack/tools: Nexus platforms (n9k), L2 switching, L3 routing; routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP); network and server virtualization; Docker and Kubernetes (nice-to-have); Python scripting; basic knowledge of Yang models, configuration management, APIs, and operational models.

Design next-generation solution validation labs for Data Center, Enterprise, and SP customers.

Validate customer-specific networks and accelerate adoption of new technologies and solutions.

Inform customers about trending network technologies and drive accelerated technology adoption.
Must-have skills

Customer-facing experience and strong ability to interface with customers.

Complex network troubleshooting or TAC-style experience.

3–8 years’ experience with Nexus (n9k) and proficiency in L2/L3 networking (OSPF/ISIS/BGP).

- Solution Validation Services (SVS) is an organization within Cisco Customer Experience (CX) focused on validating complex customer-specific networks and accelerating adoption of new technologies and solutions. Our team has expertise across the breadth of the Cisco product portfolio along with extensive expertise in a variety of third-party and competitive products. With hundreds of engineers and world-class facilities around the world, SVS helps design and deploy the technologies our customers need to give their business a competitive edge in today's business climate. As part of the SVS team, you will help drive Cisco CX growth by designing next generation solution validation labs and by validating these solutions for Data Center, Enterprise and SP customers. You will also help inform customers about trending network technologies and drive accelerated adoption of new technologies and solutions.Your Profile: Minimum Qualifications
Customer Facing experience (ability to interface and interact with customers successfully). Previous experience in complex network troubleshooting or TAC-style experience. 3 - 8 years of experience with Nexus platforms (focus on n9k) Very good understanding and experience on L2 switching, L3 routing and routing protocols (specifically OSPF, ISIS and BGP). Understanding and experience with network and server virtualization. Experience with docker and Kubernetes is a plus. Basic Programming/Scripting Skill (preferably Python) Basic working knowledge in yang models, configuration management, APIs and operational models.
