Role & seniority: Software Engineer (Core team), mid-level with potential for broader impact across Google’s Chrome/Chrome DevTools ecosystem.
Stack / tools: Languages (Python, C++, Java, JavaScript, etc.); experience with large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems; familiarity with CI workflows and test infrastructure; SQL (preferred).
Debug bottlenecks in Chrome developer processes and implement improvements.
Contribute to documentation and user education based on updates and feedback.
Triage, debug, track, and resolve issues to maintain operational excellence; participate in the on-call rotation.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of software development experience in one or more languages.
1 year of experience with data structures/algorithms.
1 year of building/developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
Experience with Python, C++, SQL.
Experience with test infrastructure, continuous integration, and distributed systems.
Familiarity with CI workflows.
Location: Mexico (citizenship requirement noted).
Work type: full-time role with on-call rotation for infrastructure support.

Responsibilities
Apply debugging and creative thinking skills to find bottlenecks in Chrome developers processes. Implement changes to improve Chrome developers processes. Contribute to documentation and user education based on system updates and user feedback. Triage, debug, track and resolve issues to maintain system operational excellence. Participate in the infrastructure on-call rotation (work hours only).
