Salary: €2,700 - €3,900 / month
Role & seniority: Junior Quantitative Analyst in SEB Group CRO; early-career/entry-level, up to ~3 years’ experience.
Stack/tools: Statistics/quantitative analysis; programming in R and Python; data handling; development of validation tools and frameworks; report generation.
Support model performance testing (quantitative and qualitative) under senior guidance.
Assist assessment of risk model design/methodology and interpret test results.
Help prepare interactive reports and contribute to stakeholder presentations; contribute to validation framework development and automation.
Academic background in statistics, mathematics, data science, econometrics, physics, engineering, or related field.
Up to 3 years’ experience in data analysis or credit risk modelling/validation (internships/projects acceptable).
Proficiency in R or Python; strong data handling skills.
Analytical mindset, willingness to learn and grow; good communication in English; collaborative team player.
Experience with risk measurement or model validation in financial services.
Experience in developing methodologies or automation tools for model review.

You will be a part of a professional team within SEB Group CRO organization that ensures quality of models used for measuring credit risk. We conduct in-depth reviews of the models to ensure quality performance by assessing model design and modelling methodologies, performance from the statistical point of view, data quality, implementation, regulatory compliance, and usage. We are presenting insights and proposing recommendations to the SEB Group CRO management as well as are closely working with the model developers, owners, users, and other key stakeholders. You will support data retrieval, analysis, and interpretation from various sources, assist in evaluating model performance from both quantitative and qualitative perspectives, and contribute to the development of model validation frameworks and automation efforts. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you’ll have opportunities to suggest improvements to existing validation tools and gradually build your expertise in risk model validation. Work will be organized in small, project-driven sub-teams within a fast-paced and supportive environment that fosters creativity, autonomy, and professional growth. The team is located in Vilnius, but you will work in close interaction with the experienced professionals in SEB Group CRO organization across Nordic and Baltic countries. \n

The final offer will depend on the experience and competencies of the selected candidate.
