Role & seniority: Engineer, Validation (pre-silicon and post-silicon) within Cirrus Logic’s Validation Engineering team.
Stack/tools: FPGA-based emulation, Verilog; validation frameworks and automation (Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW); circuit/simulation tools (LTSpice); lab equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, analyzers, logic/Spectrum analyzers); PCB design collaboration; data tools (Spotfire); version control (Git, SVN, Perforce).
Develop and execute bench-level tests per validation plan across pre-silicon and post-silicon phases; ensure functionality and performance per datasheet.
Create validation plans and test cases for IP/chip level; develop automated test frameworks and regression suites to improve efficiency.
Debug silicon, board, and validation tool issues; analyze results to identify failures and drive continuous methodological improvements; collaborate with IC Design, System, and Application engineers.
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience in FPGA-based emulation/synthesis, Verilog, pre/post-silicon validation, and mixed-signal IP validation.
Proficiency with lab measurement equipment and analog/digital/mixed-signal concepts (ADC/DAC, PLLs, amplifiers, etc.).
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work across silicon, board, and software.
