Willingness to travel nationally/internationally as required
Nice-to-haves

Are you ready to take your career to new heights in the aerospace industry? At our Kilkeel Facility, we manufacture aircraft interior seating for a number of worldwide customers, and we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our fast-paced and innovative team.
Maintain and improve Collins Quality management systems to ensure on-going effectiveness. Ensure that all products are manufactured to relevant international standard(s) and meet or exceed Collins Aerospace and customer needs. Ensure that product certification processes continue to meet FAA/EASA/CAA/AS9100 requirements.
These roles are based onsite at our Moor Road facility in Kilkeel. The hours of work are 37.5 per week.
To establish/support/monitor quality policies and procedures that are followed throughout the business that contribute to consistent high-class performance in all areas Represent the business with customers and regulatory authorities with the objective of inspiring confidence and enabling positive cooperation in the quality of products and services provided Develop, promote and lead continuous improvement activities Provide support and assistance to development in development and execution of corrective actions Lead in quality system and/or process audits in Collins as needed Leads and participates in supplier and in house improvement events Contribute and participate in Material Review Board’s Travel nationally and internationally in line with business requirements Take initiative and seek results in a structured way Clear communication (both verbally and orally) to all levels within the organisation on quality related topics Maintains & improves Quality System documentation to ensure on-going effectiveness and alignment with corporate and regulatory requirements. Coordinates QMS updates and supports process owners with changes to procedural documentation.
What you need to succeed?
Hold a Third Level Qualification Degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum of 1 year’s relevant Quality or Engineering experience
OR
Hold a Third Level Qualification Degree in a relevant discipline
AND
Minimum of 1 years' experience working in a P1 Engineering or Quality Engineering role.
OR
In the absence of a Third Level Qualification Degree, a minimum of 5 years' experience working in an Engineering or Quality Engineering role.
Demonstrate experience of completing and/or managing internal audits Demonstrate experience of completing problem solving activities using methods such as 3C, 8D, 7D, DMAIC etc. Working knowledge of lean principles In depth knowledge and application of ISO9001/AS9100 standards
