Salary: $19 - $22 / hour
Role & seniority: Quality Assurance/Quality Control Inspector (field role); entry to mid-level. Requires an Associate degree in Engineering Technology/Construction Management or HS diploma plus 1–3 years in related construction.
Stack/tools: QA/QC procedures and documentation; daily reporting; blueprints/technical procedures interpretation; data collection/record-keeping (electronic and hard copy); calibration/check of measuring/test equipment; punch lists; basic algebra/geometry.
Inspect work across large-scale wind, solar, and industrial projects; ensure compliance with QA/QC and safety policies.
Plan, document, and record QA/QC data; monitor daily progress and report per FQM/client criteria; develop punch lists.
Detect, address, and prevent deficiencies; coordinate with field operations and subcontractors; maintain open communication on progress and quality.
Inspection-related certifications (e.g., NDE); experience with pre-construction QC inspections; familiarity with SWPPP and environmental/industrial construction QA.
Location & work type: On-site construction QC at project sites; travel required; outdoors with exposure to weather, heat, and loud environments; occasional fumes/particles.
Overview
This individual is responsible for technical quality assurance and quality control in all phases of construction at a project site. Travel is a requirement of this position.
