We are looking for an experienced and motivated Software Engineer to join the Apple Services Engineering team! We build and seamlessly integrate technologies that enrich people’s lives. You will join a diverse team of people who are passionate about developing new technologies and services for our customers. You will be collaborating with many different teams within Apple to further improve the quality of our products. In this role you will be responsible for helping build and operate automated testing tools in support of Apple’s Private Cloud Compute.
DESCRIPTION
Become an functional expert in Apple’s existing automated software testing platform Capture requirements and develop software to integrate with the testing platform as required in support of new features and hardware Provide operational support by observing system performance, diagnosing and resolving issues, and communicating to the user community Educate the user community on the testing platform’s capabilities and limitations Keep informed on technical and process innovations, providing guidance on how these can be utilized to improve quality and efficiency Scale existing technologies (or promote new technologies) to accommodate growth projections
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of software engineering experience Proficient with at least one general purpose programming/scripting language such as Go, Python, Ruby or Bash Experience with macOS or another UNIX variant, Linux, etc. Ability to work closely and effectively with teams located in different geographies and time zones Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field / equivalent experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience building and supporting automated testing tools Ability to work on multiple high-intensity projects simultaneously Experience writing test cases and developing test plans Experience with elastically scaled compute environments
