We are looking for a detail-oriented Automation QA Lead with a strong background in API testing to join our fast-paced technology team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for our RESTful and/or SOAP APIs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—developers, product managers, DevOps, and other QA engineers—to ensure our software meets the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with product owners and development teams to understand business requirements and acceptance criteria for API-related features.
Contribute to defining test strategies, including both manual and automated approaches, to effectively validate APIs.
Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test suites for API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
Build automated frameworks to streamline testing, reduce manual overhead, and ensure consistency.
Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
Execute manual and automated tests, analyze results, and identify root causes of defects.
Track and report defects using bug-tracking tools like JIRA, ensuring defects are assigned to the correct teams and resolved in a timely manner.
Provide clear and concise test results, metrics, and status updates to stakeholders.
