About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Kubernetes and Linux Administrator to join our dynamic team at Rakuten Symphony. This role is pivotal in managing and optimizing our cloud-native infrastructure, ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our containerized applications. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure management, and troubleshooting complex system issues. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining high-availability Kubernetes clusters, automating infrastructure provisioning, and implementing best practices for continuous integration and deployment. Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a strong technical background with relevant certifications and hands-on experience. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have proven expertise in Linux system administration, containerization, and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with cloud platforms, automation tools, and monitoring solutions is essential. Certifications like Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or Docker Certified Associate (DCA) are highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work collaboratively in agile teams, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting are critical for success in this position.
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage production-grade Kubernetes clusters with high availability and auto-scaling capabilities. Manage Linux server configurations, perform system tuning, and implement security hardening measures. Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment processes. Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible to ensure consistent and repeatable environment setups. Monitor system performance and health using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and CloudWatch, setting up alerts for proactive incident management. Debug and troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues, utilizing logs, metrics, and tracing tools to identify root causes. Collaborate with development and operations teams to containerize legacy applications and facilitate smooth migration to cloud-native environments. Manage network configurations, including DNS, load balancers, firewalls, and TCP/IP settings, to ensure secure and reliable connectivity. Participate in cross-functional teams, contribute to agile workflows, and implement best practices for scalable and resilient infrastructure. Conduct testing and validation using tools like Robot Framework to ensure system reliability and performance standards are met.
