About Rippling

Rippling is the first way for businesses to manage all of their HR & IT—payroll, benefits, computers, apps, and more—in one unified workforce platform.

By connecting every business system to one source of truth for employee data, businesses can automate all of the manual work they normally need to do to make employee changes. Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can just click a button and set up a new employees’ payroll, health insurance, work computer, and third-party apps—like Slack, Zoom, and Office 365—all within 90 seconds.

Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.

We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.

About The Role

The product team owns Rippling’s product direction, defining what to build in order to solve customer problems in a way that allows them to succeed and for our business to thrive. We do this by distilling insights from user research, product-generated data, competitive analysis, and a deep market understanding. These insights allow us to prioritize the features we work on, which we define end to end with our design and engineering counterparts, to create our roadmap. As the features on this roadmap get developed, we partner with various teams to ensure they are ready to sell, service, and support them. We iterate on these features using data and customer feedback to make sure that they fulfill and surpass the goals we had when we decided to build them.

In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, prioritizing, and executing for employee onboarding and work authorization, including I-9, immigration workflows, and background checks and verification. Your success will be measured by delivering a seamless, trusted onboarding experience for employees while ensuring customers remain fully compliant across regions.

You will partner closely with design and engineering to build scalable, reliable products, and work with business development and operations to establish and manage critical partnerships across markets. You will also collaborate with sales, implementation, enablement, and support to launch, iterate, and continuously raise the bar on the onboarding experience.

What You Will Do

Own the roadmap and execution for work authorization, background checks, and background verification as a global product offering. Understand in detail the legal, regulatory, compliance, and operational requirements governing employee work authorization and verification across countries. Conduct market and customer research to identify what needs to be built, where, and in what order—making clear tradeoffs to prioritize country-specific launches. Partner closely with engineering and design to define product requirements, detailed specifications, user stories, and workflows that balance compliance depth with a fast, simple user experience. Collaborate with operations, legal, and compliance to ensure accuracy and readiness, and with sales, marketing, implementation, and support to validate needs, launch effectively, and drive adoption. Own product delivery quality, including testing and user acceptance, and ensure timelines and scope are met. Define product requirements and create detailed specifications, user stories, and wireframes to guide development. Participate in agile software development processes and work with the engineering team to ensure the product is delivered on time and within budget. Ensure that the speed and simplicity that Rippling prides itself on is consistently met, even when adding support for additional complex use cases

What You Will Need

4+ years of Product Management experience Self-starter with a bias toward action Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Possess a deep sense of ownership and responsibility and understand that the buck stops with you. Endless curiosity and a love of the nitty-gritty details Owned a successful product from inception to launch Strong ability to motivate and inspire people to do their best work Relentlessly focused on customers’ needs Exceptional interpersonal communication, relationship management, and organizational skills Deep analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
