Parker Meggitt, a recent addition to Parker Hannifin, is a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace markets, specializing in a wide range of products including fire and smoke detection systems, extinguishing systems, bleed air overheat detection systems, actuators, rudder pedal assemblies, pumps, fuel gauging systems, and high-temperature cables. Located in Simi Valley, CA, this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier in select energy markets, particularly in nuclear gas analyzers and nuclear containment vessel penetration cables. We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and Lockheed Martin, among others.
Test Technician
Position Summary
The Product Test Technician completes work according to instructions, specifications and procedures. Conducts a variety of tests and verifications on electro and electromechanical equipment, while providing accuracy, productivity and on-time delivery.
Responsibilities
Sets up test equipment and tests per specification Performs troubleshooting and failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry malfunctions to the component level Provides detailed written failure description with root cause analysis to production and engineering Follows written and verbal instructions, adheres to all company guidelines, policies and procedures Assists other departments with tasks in other production cells/locations Maintains a safe and clean work environment, an acceptable safety record and follows company safety rules Other responsibilities as assigned Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Qualifications
Skilled in the use of test equipment, hand tools, power tools and electric soldering Good reading and comprehension skills to understand regulations and instructions Ability to analyze and determine methods and procedures Knowledge of all electrical test equipment (i.e. oscilloscope, multimeters, power supplies...etc.) Must be able to read and interpret Blueprint/Schematics May use tooling, gauges, test and measuring equipment as required by work instructions Good oral and written communication skills and attention to detail Proficient Microsoft Windows software applications

Education & Experience
Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field

Pay Range: $23.75/hr to $39.55/hr Participation in Annual Incentive Program
