
Junior Automation Engineer

Role & seniority: CEP in Automation (regular position) in the Process Control and Operational Technologies group, Québec City office.
Stack/tools: PLC, SCADA, DCS, operator interfaces; technical document drafting; project management tools; site surveys; commissioning (onsite and remote).
Top 3 responsibilities

Program and maintain automated control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, operator interfaces).

Develop/maintain solid client relationships and participate in detailed engineering projects.

Contribute to project execution (scope, costs, schedules), drafting technical documents and study reports; support commissioning.
Must-have skills

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or automated production engineering (or equivalent) and eligibility as a Canadian professional engineer.

Availability for short- and long-term client-site work; valid driver’s license.

Advanced level of English for collaboration with offices/clients outside Québec.
Nice-to-haves
-
Interest or experience in automation/instrumentation; experience in mining or energy sectors.

ASP Construction card.

Summary Of Certifications And Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or automated production engineering or any other equivalent training Member of a Canadian professional engineering association Available for short- and long-term work assignments at client locations or sites Valid driver’s licence Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients outside Québec. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects
Asset: interest or relevant experience in automation and instrumentation; participation in detailed engineering of a project in the mining or energy sectors
