Top 3 responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for Backend APIs (REST/gRPC) and Web UIs; develop performance/load test scripts

Full Description

We are looking for a SDET to design, implement, and scale automation and performance testing solutions for Samsung Knox cloud services. The ideal candidate is a strong full-stack QA engineer with deep expertise in Frontend & Backend API automation, API performance testing, and E2E validation

This role requires close collaboration with product, architecture, and development teams to ensure quality is built into the system from design through release

Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for Backend APIs (REST/gRPC) and Web UIs (Frontend). Develop performance and load test scripts using JavaScript/TypeScript (k6 or similar tools) Build and manage robust test pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions, ensuring seamless integration of automated suites. Deep dive into system logs using ELK (Kibana) and Datadog to validate generated events, identify bottlenecks. Collaborate closely with PMs and Development team to understand design/architecture, translating requirements into robust E2E test cases. Perform defect triage, root cause analysis, and validation, including backend data verification using SQL Take ownership of release-level quality and ensure test coverage for monthly or milestone-based deliveries Leverage AI tools to write efficient, modern code and stay ahead of automation trends to refine the DQI lab’s toolset.

Skills

  • 5+ years of professional experience as an SDET or Automation Engineer, specifically focusing on Cloud APIs and Frontend automation.
  • Strong programming fundamentals (Data Structures, OOP).
  • Ability to write performance test scripts using JavaScript or TypeScript (e.g., K6 or similar tools).
  • Strong knowledge of Grafana for visualizing metrics and identifying system bottlenecks.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright and Selenium for modern web automation.
  • Expertise in REST Assured and JUnit for comprehensive Cloud API testing.
  • Proven experience using ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Datadog, and Grafana for log analysis and performance monitoring.
  • Strong working knowledge of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and SQL for data validation. Bachelors or Masters in Computers or equiavalent
