Role: Selenium Tester
Location: Chicago IL (onsite)
Seeking an experienced Test Engineer with strong technical and business skills to independently analyze requirements, design and execute QA test cases, and support software features. The role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and reliability of pricing and settlement systems and other applications, advancing test automation (including identifying automation opportunities and building scripts/frameworks), and managing testing environments. The ideal candidate understands core testing methodologies, can troubleshoot results, and brings creative ideas to improve QA processes.
Principal Accountabilities
Analyze software requirements and design specifications to develop test plans and cases. Create, execute, and maintain detailed QA test cases for features within the software application, ensuring thorough test coverage. Support phases of the software development lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering through deployment and post-release support. Assist other members of the POD in identifying test scope, assessing test risks, and determining optimal test methodology approaches. Create and maintain test documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Execute test responsibilities with some supervision, leveraging test automation where applicable. Interface and communicate effectively with internal development teams, product owners, and external support groups to facilitate issue resolution and ensure timely delivery.
Skills & Software Requirements
- Strong foundation in software testing principles and a passion for quality.
- Understanding of test automation concepts and practical experience in implementing automated test solutions.
- Keen eye for detail, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to troubleshoot issues in a financial domain.
- Experience with Selenium, Java.
- API Testing
- Experience in cloud platforms, particularly GCP.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with UNIX, SQL and programming knowledge (Python/Java) is essential.
