Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 / year
Role & seniority: Test Engineer (individual contributor, early-to-mid level) in a fast-paced hard-tech manufacturing startup.
Stack/tools: Thermal test lab management; data acquisition systems (DAQ); sensors (thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters); Python (automation/controls); thermal simulation software (SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation, Ansys Icepak, Flotherm); Keysight data acquisition software.
Lead and maintain the thermal test lab, including organization, safety, hardware procurement, and lab operations.
Design, build, and configure test setups; conduct thermal and fluidic testing on cold plates and other thermal components.
Analyze test data, provide actionable insights to design/manufacturing teams, and propose/justify new testing methods and equipment; present findings to leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
Solid understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
Experience designing/building test fixtures; proficiency with DAQ and sensor technology.
Programming experience (Python preferred) for automation/controls; strong problem-solving and independent work capability; good communication and presentation skills.
Experience with thermal simulation software (SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation, Ansys Icepak, Flotherm).
Familiarity with Keysight DAQ software.

What You’ll Do As a Test Engineer, you will be a critical part of our product development and manufacturing process. You will be responsible for leading our thermal test lab, ensuring the performance and reliability of our cutting-edge cold plates and other thermal management components. This is a hands-on role for a creative and meticulous engineer who is passionate about pushing the boundaries of what's possible. You will not only be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the lab but will also be a key contributor to the innovation of our testing methodologies.
