Role & seniority: System Test Engineering Manager (full-time exempt, manager/supervisor level)
Stack/tools: Embedded systems testing; Jira (planning, defect tracking, dashboards); Git/TFS; build systems; automated testing frameworks and test utilities; performance testing and system profiling tools; installation image creation
Own and drive the overall test and verification strategy for new products, features, bug fixes, and customer requests; manage and develop the system test group
Define, implement, and continuously improve QA processes, tooling, quality gates, release criteria, and test plans; ensure test coverage aligns with risk and priorities
Lead automated testing initiatives, collaborate with engineering on test strategies, manage test estimates, metrics, and status reporting (including release decisions and risk)
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience; 7+ years across the product development life cycle
Experience with source control and tracking tools (GIT, TFS, JIRA); familiarity with CI/build pipelines
Experience testing embedded systems and user interfaces; knowledge of performance testing and monitoring tools; strong communication and collaboration
Prior experience developing or adopting custom automation frameworks; system test stands; experience supporting release decisions and customer-facing quality issues

The System Test Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the testing of all products and systems created by GSSI while also providing day-to-day management for all members of the system test group. This job requires interacting productively with the entire engineering team to support all phases of the product life cycle, including new product development, new product introduction, and Sustaining Engineering. Requires a thorough knowledge of all GSSI products such that they can comprehensively exercise all products efficiently and ensure that products meet design goals, manufacturing requirements, and customer expectations. This is a full‐time exempt position based out of GSSI's Nashua, NH office.
