Role Description This is a contract role for a Senior QA Automation Engineer. The position requires expertise in quality assurance processes, automation testing, and software testing methodologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test automation frameworks, creating and executing test cases, performing manual and automated tests, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. This is a hybrid role based in Princeton, NJ, with opportunities for remote work as appropriate.

Job Description Design and develop automated test scripts for Databricks workflows and Python-based applications. Build and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Python and SQL. Perform testing on data pipelines, analytics workflows, and cloud-based data platforms. Create detailed test cases and test scenarios for both existing and new user stories. Validate data accuracy, transformations, and reporting outputs using SQL queries. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance. Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Developers, and Product teams to ensure full test coverage. Execute functional, regression, and integration testing for data-driven systems. Identify, document, and track defects using standard QA processes. Ensure high reliability and stability of production releases. Apply best practices in test automation and data validation. Support testing activities for cloud-based platforms (Azure preferred). Optimize test execution and improve automation efficiency. Participate in sprint planning and requirement reviews to ensure testability. Mentor junior QA members and promote quality standards across the team.
