Quality Counts at Intuitive. As a Senior System Test Engineer within the Multiport System & Release team, you will be responsible for all aspects of system level software verification test activities to ensure the high quality of the robotic surgical products. You will closely collaborate with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to product interaction design, development, systems analysts, human factors, clinical, quality and regulatory teams. You will understand the system from both a technical perspective and the user’s viewpoint, and drive definition and development of robust test strategy and comprehensive test design. The successful candidate must excel in a focused, high-energy team environment with accountability and ownership.
Essential Job Duties
Clear understanding of system user interaction requirements, contribute to requirements discussions Well understanding of system architecture design and risks, contribute to change impact analysis, identify design/testing gaps Define and develop robust test strategy, and comprehensive test design Design, develop and execute test protocols and automated test scripts for system software functional verification, generate test reports and trace report for all requirements under test Log and manage issues in the issue tracking system, work with development and cross-functional teams to debug. Analyze test data, identify non-conformance trends, generate concise executive summaries, and recommend design improvements.
Qualifications
Required Education And Training
Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Physics, or other technical fields A minimum of 6+ years of experience in testing complex electro-mechanical or robotic systems
Required Skills And Experience
Strong foundation in system engineering, SQA, software principles, good understanding of system software architecture Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills on complex embedded software and electromechanical systems Strong experience in the planning and execution of Verification and Validation (V&V) activities for medical devices, under quality and regulatory compliance Excellent verbal and written communications skill Working experience with Python Leadership skill/experience is preferred

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target compensation ranges are listed.
Base Salary Range Region 1: $162,400 - $233,600
Base Salary Range Region 2: $138,000 - $198,600
