Full Description

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking an Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT) Engineer to support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center's Code 34 Imaging and Electronic Warfare (EW)/Radar Systems Acquisition Engineering Team.

Requirements

Perform and witness EQT events and/or measurement tasks for Imaging/ISIS or EW/Radar AN/BLQ-10 systems and sub-components. Test Plans- Provide required input for Test Plan generation and constructive feedback on Test Plan peer reviews Testing Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment and install units/systems under test into the appropriate testing apparatus. Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data. Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review, and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to Customer to review Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies. Complete basic technical and EQT procedures, interact with clients as needed, assist with basic troubleshooting, interpretation, and analysis of test results. Prepare Program Office Letters/Memo's that address EQT requirements for systems. Track, execute and close action items that are assigned. Excellent oral and written communication skills including communications with peers, project team members, and customers. Must have the ability to collaborate with team members, multi-task, and adapt to change. Maintain and grow customer relationships.

Additional Requirements

Former experience performing some or all the following: shock, vibration, air-borne noise, structure-borne noise, enclosure, pressure, inclination, temperature and humidity is desirable. Position requires US Citizenship, and the ability to obtain and retain a security clearance with the US Government. 4 years of full-time Navy technician experience in the operation, maintenance, installation, test and/or repair of submarine Imaging, EW, or Radar equipment is desirable. Travel to Manassas, VA; Syracuse, NY; Northampton, MA or other deemed test sites is required- 10% of the time. Experience with performing Power and Electromagnetic Interface (EMI) testing is preferred. Must be a self-driven and results-oriented individual capable of effectively working multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
