Autodesk is looking for a QA Engineer to join our team developing interactive 3D applications and frameworks and across desktop, mobile and web platforms in our platform organization. The role is in the Platform Organization within the Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions division. This team defines and builds the software platform the Fusion 360 family of products is built upon. As a member of our team, you will have a huge impact on how we design, build and deliver our products and on multiple platforms (desktop, mobile and web). As a QA Engineer, you will be primary responsible for end to end testing of applications, implementation of testing tools and test automations to be used by our team working on state of the art products and technologies on Windows, Mac, iOS and web platforms.

Responsibilities

Develop and add automated functional and visual tests in a test framework Work with developers to create acceptance tests for new features Provide documented test plans for ongoing work Investigate failed automation tests and report issues in bug tracking system as appropriate Reproducing issues discovered by users and clearly communicating with the Development team their priorities End to end testing Discovering and clearly documenting bugs in complex workflows Ability to handle short sprint cycles (2 weeks) and experience in the full software lifecycle from design to deployment Stay abreast of state-of-the-art best practices and tools used in testing frameworks Provide regular updates about new functionality in the testing system to the broader team Be an advocate of high quality Understand the user and their needs Work with multiple teams across time zones to coordinate testing efforts Ability to perform manual black box testing as required

Minimum Qualifications

Experience in Cypress or Playwright automation Experience with accessibility testing, including screen readers such as JAWS and NVDA Knowledge of QA processes, QA Automation and reports Keen interest in new technologies and adopting them quickly Experience in testing complex interactive applications on desktop, mobile and web Experience building test plans for ongoing development of features in applications Open to new challenges and ready to extend knowledge outside of current area of expertise Ability to think outside of the box and test various complex workflows with sound insight of the user Ability to understand the users and empathize with the way they work and what they expect Critical thinker and problem-solving skills Ability to work well in an Agile team to deliver on team goals Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $79,500 and $116,600. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
