Define, document, and manage requirements for the BCP/DR migration of 70–80 apps; map dependencies

Conduct as-is vs. to-be process design, prepare DR readiness criteria, smoke-test scenarios, and runbooks

Liaise between business stakeholders and IT, support test planning (UAT), QA review, and change-management docs
Must-have skills

Proven requirements management and process mapping experience

Strong written/verbal communication and analytical skills

Familiarity with SDLC (Agile, Waterfall) and diverse documentation (functional/non-functional)

What does an IT Business Analyst do?
The Business Analyst will work closely with project stakeholders, business users, and IT teams to define, document and manage requirements to ensure successful delivery for our Business Continuity Plan (BCP) Disaster Recovery (DR) migration project. BCP DR specific responsibilities may include
Perform application dependency mapping to identify upstream/downstream services for DR. Compile DR readiness requirements, smoke test scenarios for connectivity validation, access/identity requirements, and expected operational continuity outcomes. Develop or update DR runbooks and BCP operational procedures for Cloud-based recovery.
What does it take to be an IT Business Analyst?
Required
Experienced business analyst working on large scale projects. Ability to analyze current state processes (as-is) and help to design future state (to-be) Excellent requirements management Familiarity with various software development life cycles (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, etc.) Experience in business process mapping and workflow modeling Outstanding written/verbal communication skills and analytical skills. Functional and Non-Functional documentation. Serve as the liaison between the business stakeholders and IT teams. Ability to multi-task and work independently as needed to deliver a quality product Participate in design walkthroughs and reviews. Experience with helping to define test cases for User Acceptance Testing. Support QA and testing team to review test plans, validate requirements and participate in UAT.
Experience with change management efforts: user training documentation and knowledge transfer. Experience working with Jira.
