Full Description
Senior QA Automation Engineer (Java & RoR)
We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join project in the financial sector. You will be responsible for building and maintaining high-quality automation frameworks for mission-critical, distributed backend systems.
Responsibilities
Framework Development: Designing, building, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks from scratch using Java and Ruby on Rails.
API & Backend Testing: Automating REST API tests and verifying complex inter-service communication within a microservices architecture.
System Quality: Performing integration and system-level testing to ensure the stability of critical financial platforms.
Pipeline Integration: Integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support a continuous deployment culture.
Event-Driven Testing: Testing asynchronous workflows and data streams using Kafka/RabbitMQ.
Observability & Debugging: Monitoring system behavior and analyzing logs/metrics (Grafana/Kibana) to identify and troubleshoot issues.
Mentoring & Collaboration: Working closely with Developers and Stakeholders in an Agile environment to promote a "quality-first" mindset.
Requirements
Programming: Strong Java 17+ skills and hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails (RoR).
API Testing: Expertise in REST API automation using Rest Assured (or similar).
Backend & Microservices: Practical experience in testing distributed systems and mocking (WireMock, Mockito, or Pact).
Asynchronous Systems: Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
DevOps & Infrastructure: Hands-on work with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
English: Minimum B2 level (daily communication).
Nice to have
UI Automation (Playwright, Selenium) and Performance testing (JMeter, Gatling). Familiarity with Cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and Kubernetes.
