Job Title: Automation Test Engineer (Java | Selenium | BDD)

Experience: 4–8 Years

Location: Pune / Hyderabad

Employment Type: Full-time Role Overview We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java-based automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Selenium, Cucumber, and BDD, and will work closely with development and product teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software delivery. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber (BDD) Write and maintain BDD feature files using Gherkin Automate functional, regression, smoke, and integration test cases Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and acceptance criteria Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.) Execute automated test suites and analyze results Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect tracking tools Perform test data preparation and environment validation Ensure best practices in test automation, code quality, and reusability Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) Required Skills & Qualifications Strong experience in Automation Testing using Java Hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver Solid experience with Cucumber and BDD frameworks Strong knowledge of BDD concepts and Gherkin syntax Experience in TestNG / JUnit Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts Experience testing web applications Familiarity with Maven / Gradle Experience with version control systems (Git) Good understanding of SDLC and STLC Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills
