Founding Engineer / AI Automation Engineer📍 Location: Remote / Hybrid⏳ Type: Full-time or Contract (Equity available)🚀 Stage: Early-stage startup (stealth)About the Role We’re building a stealth AI-powered automation platform that enables intelligent interaction with complex web-based systems. The product focuses on AI-driven agents that can navigate real-world websites, understand context, and perform multi-step actions with minimal human intervention. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving hard, unstructured problems at the intersection of AI, browser automation, and modern web systems. What You’ll Work On Design and implement AI-driven browser automation workflows

Build systems that can

• Navigate dynamic, JavaScript-heavy websites
• Interact with complex, multi-step web forms
• Handle inconsistent layouts and edge cases
• Integrate LLMs for reasoning, decision-making, and text generation
• Develop robust automation logic with retries, fallbacks, and observability
• Collaborate directly with the founder on architecture and core technical decisions
• Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain browser automation using Playwright
• Integrate AI models (e.g. GPT-based or open-source LLMs) into automation pipelines
• Implement logic for interpreting web UI elements and mapping them to structured data
• Improve reliability, performance, and scalability of automation agents
• Contribute to system design, security, and long-term technical direction

Languages: Python and/or TypeScript

Automation: Playwright

AI: LLM APIs (OpenAI or open-source alternatives)

Backend: FastAPI or NestJS

Infrastructure: Docker, cloud-hosted workers

Data: PostgreSQL, Redis Experience with all tools is not required — strong fundamentals and curiosity matter most.
