Job Summary: The Senior Tester will lead and coordinate the testing efforts, ensuring the effective execution of test cases and the timely resolution of defects. The ideal candidate will work closely with development teams to resolve issues, mentor junior testers, and ensure the overall quality of testing processes and results.

Key Responsibilities

Test Execution Leadership: Take ownership of assigned modules by leading and coordinating all testing efforts within those modules. Ensure that test scenarios and test cases are thoroughly designed and efficiently executed in alignment with the defined test strategy, approach, and project requirements. Drive the quality of your modules by ensuring timely test execution, comprehensive coverage, and adherence to quality standards.

Defect Management: Identify, log, track, and manage defects systematically, ensuring defects are clearly documented with sufficient details and steps to reproduce. Collaborate closely with development teams to facilitate timely resolution of defects and re-testing.

Team Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers, helping them develop their testing skills and ensuring they follow best practices in the execution of tests.

Test Process Improvement: Assist in improving testing processes by identifying areas for enhancement, including optimizing test cases and improving test automation coverage.

Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress, report issues, and ensure that testing aligns with project goals.

Test Reporting: Document and report test results, providing detailed insights into any issues encountered during testing and ensuring transparency in defect status and test execution.

Requirements

Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 4+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 1-2 years in a senior testing role. Experience in telecommunications projects is preferred.

Skills

• Strong experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, ALM).
